Regent's Canal Via Hackney

'Regent's Canal Via Hackney' is a fabulous walk along the Regent's Canal starting at Shoreditch and ending at Limehouse Basin and the Thames Marina. Along the way it crosses parts of Islington, Shoreditch, Hackney, London Fields, Victoria Park and other up-and-coming areas. During the walk you can examine boats that have been converted into houses, meet their inhabitants and get to know London's canal culture. It's a great walk that provides eclectic cityscapes, where urban buildings and bridges meet the calm, pastoral waters, and where alternative urban activities have developed along the canal.
